Arrive in Shanghai, First Impressions of the City

After airport/station pickup, visit The Bund and Nanjing Road, and take a photo stop at the LV giant ship.

After arriving in Shanghai, you will be picked up by a private car from the airport/station, and then start the city tour. First, head to the LV giant ship for a photo stop, then stroll along Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and experience the prosperity of China's No. 1 commercial street. In the evening, go to The Bund and take photos of the "Three-Piece Set" from the outside—Shanghai Tower, Jin Mao Tower, and Shanghai World Financial Center—and enjoy the dazzling night view on both sides of the Huangpu River.

In-depth Shanghai Culture Tour

Xujiahui Library, Warehouse No. 3, Sihang Warehouse, Yu Garden, 1933 Old Millfun.

After breakfast, head to Xujiahui Library to experience the blend of modern reading space and historic architecture. Then explore Shanghai Warehouse No. 3 Creative Park, followed by a visit to the Sihang Warehouse Battle Memorial to learn about the history of the Battle of Shanghai. In the afternoon, visit Yu Garden and the City God Temple commercial area to experience Jiangnan gardens and old Shanghai charm. Finally, go to 1933 Old Millfun to admire its unique basilica-style architecture.

High-Speed Train to Beijing & Free Exploration

Drop-off at Hongqiao Railway Station, high-speed train to Beijing, pickup and hotel check-in, free time.

After breakfast at the hotel, a private car will take you to Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station for the high-speed train to Beijing (approx. 4.5-5.5 hours). Upon arrival at Beijing South Railway Station or Beijing West Railway Station, a private car will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel for check-in. The afternoon is free; we recommend visiting Taikoo Li Sanlitun for a fashionable atmosphere, or Panjiayuan Antique Market to hunt for treasures.

Forbidden City & Old Beijing Charm

Forbidden City (or Prince Gong's Mansion), big-bowl tea, White Dagoba Temple, Shichahai, Nanluoguxiang.

After breakfast, head to the Palace Museum (advance reservation required; if unavailable, Prince Gong's Mansion will be arranged instead). The Forbidden City was the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties and is the world's largest ancient palace complex. Then experience traditional old Beijing big-bowl tea (at your own expense). In the afternoon, visit the White Dagoba Temple, stroll around Shichahai Scenic Area, and finally explore Nanluoguxiang to experience hutong culture.

After breakfast, head to the Mutianyu Great Wall. As the finest section of the Ming Great Wall, Mutianyu features lush vegetation and relatively fewer visitors, and you can take a cable car up and down. In the afternoon, visit the Summer Palace, the largest and best-preserved imperial garden in China, and enjoy the lake and mountain scenery of Kunming Lake and Longevity Hill.

Museums and Hutong Culture

National Museum of China (or Capital Museum), Temple of Heaven, Wudaoying Hutong, Guozijian Street, Red Theatre Acrobatics.

After breakfast, head to the National Museum of China (reservations are difficult to secure; if unavailable, the Capital Museum will be arranged instead). Then visit the Temple of Heaven Park, including the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, the Echo Wall, and more. In the afternoon, stroll through Wudaoying Hutong and explore Guozijian Street (including the Imperial Examination Hall, ancient trees, and archways) to experience old Beijing culture. In the evening, you can watch the Red Theatre acrobatics show at your own expense.

Cancel more than 30 days before the tour begins for a full refund; cancel 15-29 days before and 30% of the fee is deducted; cancel 7-14 days before and 50% is deducted; cancel within 7 days and 100% is deducted. Once high-speed rail tickets and reserved tickets such as those for the Forbidden City are issued, the actual loss will be deducted.
